The Research Result role of communication technology and information on the development of children, especially children aged 5 years in an environment seruni Selong is high criteria with as many as 15 children with a percentage of 60%, the criteria were as many as seven children with a percentage of 28% and 3 children, or the percentage of 12% of the criteria are very high while the results obtained interviews of child development is strongly influenced by information and communication technologies, especially mobile phones, televisions and computer / laptop Data analysis technique used is to use a percentage of the impact of ICT on the development of children aged 5 and described through descriptions of statistical and qualitative description on interview techniques. The instruments used are questionnaires and questionnaires.
The data collection technique used is observation and interview techniques. The population is children aged 5 years in Seruni Selong environment by using random sampling with a sample of 25 children. This study uses a quantitative research method used is survey method. The impact of the development of information and communication technologies to the development of children aged 5-6 years is a problem that must be studied and observed in life as well as issues regarding the process of child development and the role of technology makes all these aspects to be studied very interesting to study. The results of the study revealed the ability of students’ social literacy as follows: intellectual skills 34.1%, social skills 12.6%, cooperation skills 14.7%, and social attitudes and values 38.5%. The data of this study are the sentences taken from students 'daily journals, which were then reduced, coded based on students' social literacy aspects that appeared and analyzed, then triangulated. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with qualitative content analysis techniques. The student's daily journal is a collection of student writings whose contents expose students' skills in reflecting experiences, findings, critical thinking, connecting ideas, exploring and expressing their knowledge. The ability of social literacy is the capacity of a person to be able to live and contribute to his or her community, which involved intellectual skills, social skills, cooperative skills, and attitudes and values. This study was aimed to determine the students’ social literacy in their daily journals at grade four of Al-Fauzien Islamic Elementary School in Indonesia.
